Our weekly schedule includes going to the library for story-time, kinda-gym at the PCYC, trips to the local parks, the beach, visiting other carers to network and so on. Back at home we enjoy providing lots of activities like playdough, painting, collage, puzzles, blocks, playground and trampoline.

I’m passionate about ensuring your child gets the best possible care and attention they need. Provide indoor and outdoor, spontaneous and intentional learning all through play.

I believe children are all equal and that play is the most important aspect of a child’s development and that play should be integrated across all domains of development to encourage children to enjoy life at the same time gain knowledge and develop skills they will need in life.

Children learn and gain confidence through positive communication. I believe that family daycare is an extension of a home and I endeavour to male all children feel as part of my family.

I have a Diploma in children services and I have been working in the childcare industry for the past 14 years. In this time I have worked with children from 6months to 12 years. My first job was at a long day care centre in Urangan. I was working there for 2 years before I got a very exciting job on board P & O Cruises where I got the chance to work in the kids club. My previous employment was 6 years at a Kindy where I have gained extensive amounts of knowledge about children and how important the early years of development is. I feel family day care has really given me the chance to put all my learning into practice being in control of the environment and day to day learning of the children in my care.

Fraser Coast Little Farmers  – Tina

Life is made up of all the small decisions that you make that lead to chance encounters and experiences that shape your life, your beliefs and your values. By choosing me as your child’s educator, my aim is to provide your child access to many different experiences and encounters. So that they in turn can grow and develop from their own perceptions, what they/you feel is important and what direction later on in life they want to pursue. Children don’t know if they are Interested in or are good at something if they haven’t experienced it for themselves. As a wife and parent of school age children myself, I know how busy life can get and wish only to partner with you in helping to mould the next generation so that they become responsible custodians of our world and also valuable contributors in our society/community. I have been a Family Day Care Educator since 2006, I love my career choice and will be in this industry for many more years to come. Joan’s Place Scarness  – Joan

My aim for my home based service is to make all families feel comfortable and to respect all cultures. Children will learn about acceptance and will grow to respect others and be caring, responsible custodians of our world. I will provide natural and challenging experiences, I believe all children deserve a childhood filled with wonder and adventure, they should be allowed to get dirty, take risks, run barefoot outdoors, jump in puddles and have the chance to develop at their own pace and simply “be a child”.
All children need to know that others care about them , know them well and are interested in what they do , think and feel, I believe that developing responsive relationships with children promotes their well being, self esteem and sense of security.
My program focus to provide a play program focussing on interests, individual and group strengths. To encourage input from children, parents and the wider community. To risk assess and make ongoing quality improvements. To communicate with Parents/ Guardians about the care and learning of their child.
